Is Your Lifestyle Healthy? Stocktake Time…

A healthy lifestyle begins with just one healthy habit, and maybe it’s time to add one new healthy habit to your daily array of habits. Let’s face it, most of us build a life around the things we do habitually. It’s more important to do a little of something each day rather than a lot of something on one day. Anyone can do one healthy habit, so what would be useful to add to your day? Allow me to suggest a few ideas:

  1. Six minutes of sitting and just breathing. Focus on taking deep breaths and allow your thoughts to run free. Don’t judge them, just let them flow and be fascinated by what you observe.
  2. Take a few moments out for gratitude. Speak out loud the main things that you are grateful for at this point in your life. Allow your own ears to hear all that you appreciate in your life.
  3. Complete 20 seconds of strenuous exercise, putting in as much energy as you possibly can. One thing might be to sprint up the street. Alternatively, stand and sit out of your chair as fast as you can for 20 seconds.

Find something that is convenient to do in your workplace or in your home. A little exercise often provokes you to do a little more.

Don’t despise the small things in your life. Small habits can lead to great achievements. Just get started by adding new habits regularly to your daily life; something that enables you to be healthy strong and sound minded.
